The romantic new song "I Never Forgot" with words and music by singer-songwriter Frank Lamphere. "I Never Forgot" had many lyric and title changes before arriving at it's present state. The music was always in place; it was the "right" title that eluded Lamphere. In fact at the recording session the working title was "Skaboo Beebee Bueno Boo". It made sense as a whole, but fortunately for Lamphere (and the public for that matter) new inspiration was found after that first recording session. He came up with the new title and then completely rewrote the lyrics.

The song has to do with one who runs into a former flame. He reminisces and talks (seeing no wedding band on her finger) about a future that may hold promise for them. Frank drew lyrical inspiration from his own true life story of how he and his wife Daniela refound each other, while separated by an ocean and twelve years.

"I Never Forgot" includes tenor and trumpet solos by Eric Schneider and Art Davis, respectfully.

I Never Forgot
Music and words Frank Lamphere

It’s good to see you, you’re looking great,
After all these years
So, how’ve you been? My ex-turtle dove
It looks to me like, you’re single too
I never forgot your dinners at home
And how my waistline grew

What fun filled times those were
Remember, window shopping in the city?
Or sunning at the beach, what a tan you had!
Then that wild Las Vegas rendezvous
I never forgot your beautiful smile
And how you kissed me, too

When I think back, to ‘bout twenty years ago
Too rushed was our goodbye
What a fool was I
And today, we may have another chance

If you regret like me, that our affair fell through
Let’s get together, like we used to do
We’ll drink and toast
To old times and to new
I never forgot the way that you told me
“I love you”
